Senior Construction Estimator – Residential Projects (WFH)

About the role

We are a Melbourne‑based residential builder specialising in high‑end architectural homes and complex renovations. We are looking for a senior estimator to join our internal team and lead the cost planning and tender process for multi‑million‑dollar projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate construction cost estimates and detailed take‑offs from architectural and engineering drawings.
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and identify missing information or inconsistencies in project documentation.
• Issue trade packages, obtain and evaluate subcontractor quotations, and compile tender comparison reports.
• Negotiate pricing where required and assist in selecting suitable subcontractors.
• Collaborate closely with the Director, Project Manager and Site Supervisor to review budgets, support value engineering and ensure commercial viability.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Australian residential construction estimating, including knowledge of building methods, trade scopes and construction sequencing.
• Proven ability to interpret construction drawings, raise RFIs and produce professional tender packages.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and risk identification.
