Assistant Manager – Design Management Architect (Project-Based)

About the role

The Assistant Manager Design Management Architect will oversee the implementation of architectural and engineering designs directly on construction sites. Acting as the bridge between design teams and on‑site execution, this role ensures that design intent, quality standards, and regulatory requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and enforce architectural/engineering plans and specifications on‑site.
• Monitor construction activities, conduct regular inspections, and verify alignment with approved drawings.
• Review, approve, and coordinate shop drawings, spot details, RFIs, and other site documentation.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve design issues and lead design coordination meetings.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
• Prepare inspection requests, punch‑list reports, and maintain updated design records.
• Provide immediate technical solutions and recommend design adjustments when necessary.

Required profile

• Experience in on‑site architectural or engineering supervision.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, design documentation, and quality assurance practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage coordination meetings.
• Attention to detail in reviewing drawings, material submittals, and compliance checks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
