Senior Commercial Legal Counsel – APAC

About the role

Remote is looking for a seasoned commercial lawyer to join its Legal – Commercial team as a Senior Legal Counsel for the APAC region. You will act as the primary legal partner for APAC sales, handling terms of service negotiations, contract redlining and commercial agreement reviews while protecting the company from risk.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely legal support to APAC sales teams on terms of service, contract redlining and commercial agreement reviews.
• Lead live negotiations with customers and their counsel on strategic and enterprise deals, including high‑value ARR thresholds.
• Serve as the Legal Primary DRI for APAC, ensuring escalations are handled in‑region and within the appropriate time zone.
• Collaborate with regional counsel and support other regions when bandwidth permits, maintaining consistent legal guidance.
• Develop and improve templates, playbooks and processes for commercial transactions and contribute to automated triage tools.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in commercial transactions, especially enterprise‑level SaaS agreements, terms of service negotiations and sales contract reviews.
• Experience supporting sales teams across APAC and qualification to practice in an APAC jurisdiction.
• Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead live negotiations and craft enforceable agreements.
• Comfort operating across multiple APAC jurisdictions and knowing when to involve local counsel.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, work independently and build trusted relationships with sales stakeholders.
