Senior Backend Developer

About the role

KPMG Philippines is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join its technology team. The role focuses on designing, building and maintaining high‑performance server‑side applications and enterprise solutions that support the firm’s digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain server‑side applications and APIs.
• Optimize backend logic for performance, security and scalability.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs for seamless front‑end integration.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Write clean, maintainable and testable code following industry best practices.
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers, DevOps teams and product managers.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in .NET (C#) and API development.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure for deployment and management.
• Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
