Senior AWS DevOps Engineer (Remote, Night Shift)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our cloud infrastructure. The role is fully remote, works night‑shift hours, and collaborates with US leadership and globally distributed engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate highly available, scalable AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, ALB/NLB, VPC, autoscaling groups).
• Drive capacity planning, cost‑effective scaling, and performance tuning.
• Maintain cloud security posture, including IAM least‑privilege, network security, intrusion detection, and patch management.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high‑availability strategies.
• Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch and third‑party tools; lead incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Develop infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred) and support CI/CD pipelines for safe deployments.
• Partner with engineering, QA, and product teams to provide architectural guidance and operational best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Proven track record operating production AWS environments.
• Strong focus on reliability, security, and performance.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• AWS services: EC2, RDS, Elastic Load Balancing, Autoscaling, VPC, IAM.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (or CloudFormation).
• Linux system administration.
• Scripting: Bash, Python (or similar).
• Monitoring & observability: CloudWatch, logging, alerting tools.
• Security practices: intrusion detection, vulnerability remediation.
• CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
