Senior Analog IC Design Engineer

About the role

Analog Devices is looking for an experienced Senior Analog IC Design Engineer to join its Custom Silicon Solutions (CSS) group, which develops sensing and signal processing solutions for the portable consumer business. The engineer works on new product solutions for portable consumer applications, engages directly with Tier 1 OEMs and has supervisor/mentor leadership opportunities. The team is based in sites including Valencia (Spain), Cork and Limerick (Ireland), Newbury (England), Cavite and BGC (Philippines).

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the detailed definition and architecture development of high-performance mixed-signal devices.
• Perform IC block design, transistor-level circuit design and simulation.
• Conduct technical presentations to the internal engineering team and customers.
• Use recommended design and verification techniques, tools and flows to produce efficient designs that meet functional, power and timing objectives.
• Integrate blocks into larger mixed-signal systems and support layout, lab evaluation and testing.
• Improve analog design methodologies to reduce time and cost to market.
• Take a full cell ownership role, contributing to new products from architecture selection to implementation and debug.

Required profile

• Electronic Engineering degree with 5+ years of experience as an analog/mixed-signal IC designer.
• Good knowledge of analog and mixed-signal electronics, tools and flows.
• Strong people leadership, interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
• Some limited travel (about 10% of the time); normal working hours in the Philippines.

Required skills

• Analog and mixed-signal circuit design and simulation.
• Design of circuits such as amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgap references, bias circuits, LDOs, switching power supplies and audio circuits is an advantage.
• Experience integrating analog blocks (converters, power management) in complex microcontroller systems is an advantage.
