Senior AI Solutions Architect (Remote Dayshift)

About the role

D2B is looking for a very senior, hands-on AI-native technical leader to act as Senior AI Solutions Architect / CTO. The role spans architecture, solution design, code delivery, code review and AI-assisted development, bridging the gap between architect and developer. It is full time, independent contractor, on New Zealand hours and holidays, paid PHP 170,000 - 200,000 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the CRM and BI product architecture and work with leadership to shape the technical roadmap.
• Translate product requirements into secure, scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex or Replit to accelerate delivery.
• Contribute personally to development where required, especially in the early stages, and review AI-generated code before production.
• Protect multi-tenant architecture, including tenant isolation, role-based access control, data security, auditability and maintainability.
• Help define coding standards, architecture decision records, delivery patterns and AI development workflows.
• Support sprint planning by breaking initiatives into clear work packages, and help interview and assess future AI developers and QA automation resources.

Required profile

• Senior full-stack software engineering background.
• Strong relational database design and data modelling, including CRM-style models (accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, activities, tasks, notes, emails, custom objects).
• Experience designing metadata-driven data structures and multi-tenant SaaS platforms with tenant isolation and scoped queries.
• Strong understanding of AI and LLM application architecture, including agentic workflows, tool calling, RAG, vector databases and embeddings.
• Ability to design human-in-the-loop controls, audit logs, permission checks and approval flows for AI-driven actions.

Required skills

• Preferred: React and TypeScript, Python and FastAPI, PostgreSQL, advanced SQL and query optimisation.
• Multi-tenant SaaS, authentication and authorisation, API and data pipeline architecture, event-driven architecture, CI/CD and cloud deployment.
• Vector databases (e.g. pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant), embedding models, LLM orchestration and AI agent frameworks.
