Senior Accountant

About the role

MicroSourcing is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in a hybrid night‑shift arrangement. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end close processes, and managing accounts‑receivable factoring activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Perform complex balance‑sheet and bank reconciliations on a monthly and ad‑hoc basis.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries with proper documentation.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, including variance analysis for management reporting.
• Reconcile factoring accounts, monitor dilution rates, reserve balances, and eligibility to optimize cash flow.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in account reconciliations and general ledger management.
• Hands‑on experience with accounts‑receivable factoring arrangements.
• Demonstrated ability to meet strict month‑end close deadlines.
• Experience working in a multi‑entity or intercompany accounting setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., EXENTA or similar).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Strong account reconciliation and month‑end close capabilities.
