About the role

This full‑time position is for a Senior Accounting Specialist focused on shipping and vessel operations. The role combines oversight of financial activities with detailed record‑keeping, analysis, and compliance to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all financial activities related to shipping and vessel accounting.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
• Manage journal entries and ensure accurate posting.
• Utilise accounting software for detailed record‑keeping.
• Conduct financial analysis to aid strategic decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of financial statements and ability to prepare and analyse reports.
• Proficiency with accounting software and related tools.
• Solid finance background with exceptional analytical skills.
• Experience preparing and managing journal entries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Prior experience in shipping, transportation or vessel industry accounting is highly desirable.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently.
• CPA certification required.
