Security Threat Analyst (SOC Manager)

About the role

The Security Threat Analyst (SOC Manager) leads Metrobank's Security Operations Center, overseeing 24x7 monitoring, detection, analysis and response to cyber threats. You will manage a team of analysts, drive incident response processes and ensure alignment with the bank's security strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 security event monitoring, incident management and initial response.
• Lead and coach the SOC team, handling recruitment, training, performance evaluation and skill development.
• Develop, review and document SOC policies, standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with threat‑hunting, incident‑response and vulnerability‑management teams to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Manage vendor relationships, resource allocation and corrective actions to maintain efficient SOC operations.
• Produce reports, dashboards and metrics for senior management and ensure SLA compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations or incident response.
• At least 3 years of people‑management experience, preferably leading a SOC.
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry is preferred.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, QRadar or Microsoft Sentinel.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, incident management, vulnerability management and threat hunting.
• Proficiency in security monitoring tools and incident response processes.
