Security Engineer

About the role

Azeus is seeking a Security Engineer to join its global IT services team. You will work closely with both Blue‑Team and Red‑Team functions to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle and protect the organization’s assets.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps to implement security best practices and automate vulnerability detection.
• Conduct threat modelling, review risks, and manage patches for software components.
• Perform penetration testing on web and mobile applications (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS).
• Own the vulnerability management lifecycle from identification through remediation and reporting.
• Monitor operational security risks, investigate incidents, and support pre‑sales security enquiries.
• Assist with security awareness training and implementation of controls for ISO 27001, SOC 2 and other certifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on cybersecurity experience.
• Strong analytical abilities and a proactive sense of ownership.

Required skills

• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, SANS Critical Security Controls.
• Experience with application security tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Metasploit, SonarQube (Ghidra or IDA a plus).
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, C/C++ and scripting with Bash or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies.
