Security Coordinator – Construction Projects

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Security Coordinator to design, implement and oversee a comprehensive physical security programme for its construction projects in the National Capital Region. The role ensures the safety of personnel, protection of critical assets and uninterrupted project continuity throughout construction and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a security risk assessment and a detailed security plan covering theft, sabotage, social unrest and unauthorized intrusion.
• Design and execute Emergency Response Plans and Crisis Management protocols for strikes, riots, natural disasters or terror threats.
• Oversee daily operations, performance metrics and deployment of the subcontracted guard force.
• Supervise installation and maintenance of physical security systems such as perimeter intrusion detection, long‑range CCTV and access‑control for workers, materials and vehicles.
• Conduct internal investigations of breaches, thefts or incidents and provide corrective reports.
• Serve as primary liaison with local law‑enforcement, military, emergency services and community relations teams.
• Coordinate with the Health, Safety and Environment department to align security protocols with safety regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminology, engineering, business administration or former officer in AFP/PNP.
• Proven experience leading security operations in high‑stakes, construction‑related environments.
• Strong leadership, conflict‑resolution and negotiation abilities under pressure.

Required skills

• Electronic security systems integration (e.g., perimeter intrusion detection, CCTV).
• Physical perimeter defence and access‑control management.
