Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist – Manila

About the role

The Online Communications Unit (OCU) of the International Organization for Migration in Manila seeks a proactive Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist. Reporting to the National Website Content Management Officer and the Head of OCU, you will enhance the visibility and performance of IOM’s global and regional websites.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze website data using SEO and data‑analytics tools and implement recommendations to improve content effectiveness and search‑engine rankings.
• Develop an SEO content strategy that incorporates AI, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) based on thorough keyword research.
• Execute on‑page optimizations, ensuring meta tags, headings and content structures align with target keywords and search‑engine guidelines.
• Lead off‑page activities such as guest blogging, influencer outreach and backlink acquisition to boost site authority.
• Collaborate on audience‑engagement plans that combine user personas, content strategy, social media and Mailchimp email campaigns.
• Work with the Sr. Website Assistant to monitor organic channel performance, produce monthly reports and adjust tactics.
• Share basic SEO and web‑standard guidance with the wider team.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in SEO, keyword research and website analytics.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven optimization techniques, AEO and GEO concepts.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
