Scientist/Senior Scientist – QPPV Office, Local Safety Support & Regulatory Intelligence

About the role

The Scientist/Senior Scientist – QPPV Office, Local Safety Support & Regulatory Intelligence is a safety expert who provides safety oversight, in their allocated region, for the Consumer portfolio of products throughout the product life‑cycle, including new product development. The role works closely with the Regional Medical Safety Officer (RMSO) and partners with regional colleagues in R&D, Regulatory, Quality and LPV country teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safety evaluations and provide clinical insights to complete regional safety deliverables.
• Identify, communicate and manage potential and known safety risks.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally within and outside KMS to influence product development and post‑market surveillance strategies.
• Partner with the RMSO to generate safety assessments and reviews for the Consumer portfolio across the product life‑cycle.
• Represent the RMSO at meetings and ensure alignment with regional cross‑functional business partners.
• Handle large data sets, draw objective conclusions and meet timelines according to SOPs.

Required profile

• Licensed MD with at least 3 years of clinical experience.
• Minimum two years of industry experience in foundational to intermediate pharmacovigilance.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, able to coordinate multiple safety‑related activities.
• Proven ability to critically assess PV data, identify clinically relevant patterns and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross‑functional environment.
