Science Teacher – Chemistry Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Chemistry specialist to join Nord Anglia International School Manila on a short‑term cover basis. The successful candidate will deliver IGCSE and A‑Level Chemistry lessons, support curriculum development and contribute to the school’s vibrant community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons for IGCSE and A‑Level programmes.
• Support curriculum development and implementation across the science department.
• Drive high levels of student engagement and achievement through innovative teaching methods.
• Participate in enrichment activities, extracurricular programmes and school events.
• Collaborate with colleagues to foster a culture of inclusion, innovation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• University degree and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching Chemistry, preferably with Cambridge IGCSE and/or Pearson Edexcel A‑Level curricula.
• Strong understanding of effective teaching, differentiation and inclusive classroom practice.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Current enhanced criminal record checks for all countries of residence and eligibility to work in the Philippines.

Required skills

• Chemistry subject expertise.
• Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE and Pearson Edexcel A‑Level assessment frameworks.
• Ability to communicate confidently with diverse audiences, including parents and students.
