Sales Manager

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead the hotel’s sales function, driving room, banquet and overall revenue through strategic planning and strong client relationships. You will coach a dedicated sales team and act as the primary liaison with corporate accounts, travel agencies and key partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets for rooms, banquets and overall hotel performance.
• Lead, coach and monitor the sales team to achieve individual and departmental KPIs.
• Generate new business and nurture existing relationships with corporate accounts, travel agencies, tour operators and other partners.
• Conduct client presentations, property inspections, negotiations, proposals and contract closures.
• Manage key accounts, group bookings, events and long‑stay business.
• Collaborate with Revenue, Reservations, Marketing and Operations teams to maximise occupancy and revenue.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging business opportunities.
• Prepare sales forecasts, reports and performance updates for senior management.
• Represent the hotel at sales calls, trade fairs, sales missions and industry events.
• Ensure effective after‑sales service to drive repeat business and customer loyalty.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven track record in corporate, group, banquet or leisure hotel sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and leadership abilities.
• Results‑oriented, organised and customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with hotel sales or CRM systems.
