Safety Officer

About the role

The Safety Officer will ensure a safe working environment across Pauleen Business Group’s diverse operations, ranging from poultry and food production to pharmacy and IT services. This role involves monitoring compliance with occupational safety and health standards and supporting continuous improvement of safety practices.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSH standards, company policies, and relevant government regulations.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify unsafe acts, conditions, and potential hazards.
• Provide safety orientations for new hires and contractors.
• Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, near‑misses, and occupational illnesses, and prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain accurate records of accidents, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Verify that first‑aid kits, emergency equipment, and safety devices are available and functional.
• Perform other safety‑related duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Psychology, or a related field.
• Certified Safety Officer 2 (SO2) with completion of the mandatory 40‑hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) training.
• Strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS).
• Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for report preparation.
