Room Attendant – Hotel Housekeeping

About the role

The Room Attendant ensures guest rooms and associated service areas are cleaned, stocked, and presented to the highest standards of hospitality. Working on‑site in a hotel environment, you will provide turn‑down service, replenish amenities, and respond to guest requests while maintaining privacy and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning, turn‑down, and bed making in guest rooms.
• Refill minibars, fruit baskets, and amenity supplies according to hotel checklists.
• Deliver special items or decorations for guest occasions upon request.
• Create and manage HotSOS service requests for maintenance issues, ensuring prompt resolution without disturbing guests.
• Handle guest complaints politely, efficiently, and in line with hotel policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of heart‑of‑house areas such as floor pantries, staff toilets, corridors, stairwells, and service lift lobbies.
• Report accidents, hazards, suspicious incidents, and missing or damaged items to supervisors or security.
• Operate housekeeping equipment and machines safely, and perform routine pantry cleaning and trash removal.
• Hand over found items to security and complete necessary documentation.

• Ability to respect guest privacy and provide personalized, courteous service.
• Good communication skills for reporting issues and interacting with guests and team members.
• Willingness to follow health and safety procedures and participate in related activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HotSOS (hotel service request system) or similar housekeeping software.
