Residential Construction Estimator – NSW (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Residential Construction Estimator with at least five years of hands‑on Australian residential building experience, primarily on NSW projects. The position is fully remote and offers the opportunity to work on a variety of single‑dwelling, duplex and multi‑dwelling developments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed material take‑offs from architectural and engineering drawings.
• Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and trade package breakdowns.
• Price single dwellings, duplexes and multi‑dwelling developments.
• Interpret structural, civil, hydraulic and services documentation.
• Prepare fixed‑price and cost‑plus estimates, source and compare subcontractor quotes.
• Assist in tender submissions, cost proposals and scope comparisons.
• Maintain supplier and subcontractor pricing databases and identify value‑engineering opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of Australian residential construction estimating experience.
• Strong experience on NSW residential projects (houses, duplexes, townhouses).
• Proven ability to work with NCC, BASIX, NSW Home Building Contracts and local council approval processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with estimating software such as Buildsoft, Cubit, CostX or similar.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to interpret detailed construction drawings.
• In‑depth knowledge of Australian trade pricing structures.
• Understanding of residential building warranty requirements and cost‑control processes.
