Remote Ophthalmologist (BPO)

About the role

Snapscale is looking for a qualified Ophthalmologist to provide remote clinical support to a U.S.-based healthcare practice. The position involves reviewing patient charts and ophthalmic records, evaluating diagnoses and treatment histories, and delivering clinical input in line with established protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient medical charts and ophthalmology records for completeness and accuracy.
• Evaluate diagnoses, treatment history, medications, test results, imaging, and other clinical information.
• Identify missing, inconsistent, or incomplete information and recommend follow‑up actions.
• Provide clinical input based on the information available in the medical record.
• Ensure documentation complies with clinic standards and HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams on chart‑related concerns.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Required profile

• Valid and active license to practice as an Ophthalmologist or Optometrist.
• Previous experience in an ophthalmology practice or healthcare setting.
• Experience reviewing medical charts, clinical records, or ophthalmic documentation.
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable internet connection and dedicated remote workspace.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ophthalmic conditions, treatments, medications, and diagnostic findings.
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality requirements.
