Relationship Manager – Business Banking

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Business Banking is responsible for generating new commercial loans, expanding the existing loan portfolio, and cross‑selling the bank’s products and services. The role focuses on delivering professional account management to achieve portfolio growth, profitability, and asset quality while building lasting customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct credit evaluations, including client calls and site inspections, to assess loan eligibility.
• Recommend credit facilities based on client business, financial capacity, management competence, collateral, and profitability.
• Improve loan portfolio quality and maximize return on resources.
• Identify target markets, market bank products, and tailor financial packages to credit‑worthy clients.
• Perform annual reviews of existing credit facilities to ensure suitability.
• Expand relationships with prime accounts by increasing deposits, collateral, and loan availments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Accounting, or Commerce; MBA or MA preferred.
• Two years of banking experience or five years in another industry.
• Working knowledge of international and local trade payments, bank policies, account profitability analysis, financial analysis, and credit approval preparation.
• Proficiency in basic MS Office applications.
• Strong marketing, presentation, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
