Regulatory Specialist

About the role

As a Regulatory Specialist at Aboitiz Renewables, you will ensure that the company’s renewable energy operations comply with all applicable power‑industry laws, regulations and permit requirements. You will work closely with internal teams and external agencies to monitor regulatory changes, prepare documentation and submit timely compliance reports.

Key responsibilities

• Manage regulatory compliance and reporting for agencies such as the DOE, ERC, NGCP and others, including permit applications and renewals.
• Maintain and upload compliance records in the designated database.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather data needed for permits, contracts and regulatory submissions.
• Monitor government publications and social media for new issuances, attend public consultations and assess operational impact.
• Prepare and present progress reports on permit acquisition, risks and issues to management.
• Build and sustain relationships with assigned government agencies.
• Update regulatory tracking reports and contribute to operational planning activities, including root‑cause analysis and action‑plan proposals.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with a strong interest in power‑industry regulations.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with the regulatory landscape of the Philippine energy sector.
