Reference Librarian (Master's Degree) – Full‑time

About the role

The Manila Business College Foundation is seeking a full‑time Reference Librarian to support its business and computer education programs. The role is based on‑site in Sta. Cruz, Manila and involves delivering library services that enhance student learning and research.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess instructional sessions related to library use and information literacy.
• Prepare and maintain instructional and reference materials aligned with the college curriculum.
• Guide students through academic and skill‑based activities, providing regular feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and library usage.
• Participate in faculty meetings, contribute to program development, and offer academic advising or mentoring.
• Support quality‑assurance initiatives and collaborate on institutional projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science (BLIS).
• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent.
• Registered Librarian with a valid PRC license.
• Willingness to work in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

Required skills

• Familiarity with catalogue systems.
• Knowledge of Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC).
• Experience with library management systems.
• Computer literacy.
