Quantity Surveyor - Vertical

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor specialized in vertical projects to manage cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration for civil, structural and architectural works. The role involves ensuring cost control, compliance with contract terms, and delivering value‑engineered solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates and quantity take‑offs for civil, structural, and architectural works based on approved drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), tender documents and cost proposals for project bidding and procurement.
• Oversee the tendering process, including bid evaluation, cost comparison and recommendation of contractors and suppliers.
• Monitor compliance with contract terms, project specifications and commercial requirements during execution.
• Evaluate, assess and manage variation orders and change requests with proper documentation and cost justification.
• Conduct cost analysis and value‑engineering studies to identify optimisation opportunities while maintaining quality and safety.
• Track project costs, budget utilisation and prepare regular cost reports for management decision‑making.
• Ensure all cost estimates, budgets and expenditures align with current market rates and industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Licensed Civil Engineer or Licensed Architect.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, cost control and budget management within the construction industry.
• Experience with civil, structural and architectural works for residential, commercial, industrial or mixed‑use developments.
• Familiarity with tendering, contract administration and project cost monitoring.
• Knowledge of house and land development processes, construction methodologies, and current market pricing.
