Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support the cost management of large‑scale infrastructure and building projects from concept through detailed design. The role ensures financial viability, accurate budgeting and readiness for tendering while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, refine and validate project cost estimates from initial concept to detailed design.
• Produce high‑level benchmark estimates during the conceptual stage and identify cost drivers.
• Create structured cost plans and approximate take‑offs in the feasibility stage, supporting financial analysis and value engineering.
• Prepare detailed take‑offs, itemised estimates, Bills of Quantities and the final cost baseline (Engineer’s Estimate/ABC) for the DED stage.
• Ensure tender documents are accurate and align with project scope and budget.
• Collaborate with design and construction teams to interpret drawings and specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Licensed Civil Engineer (advantageous).
• At least 2 years of experience in infrastructure or building cost estimation.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, contracts and construction processes.
• Proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD; familiarity with PlanSwift, Cubicost, Cost X, Primavera and MS Project is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Positive, collaborative attitude.
