Quality Control Analyst

About the role

The Quality Control Analyst will ensure the integrity and compliance of fuels, biofuels, lubricants, greases, asphalts, LPG and related products through rigorous laboratory testing. The role supports Petron’s commitment to delivering high‑quality materials across all its installations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform physico‑chemical testing and analysis of a wide range of petroleum‑derived products.
• Develop, validate, and document test methods in accordance with internal standards.
• Provide comprehensive laboratory testing services to internal and external customers.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure traceability of all test results.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.

Required profile

• Licensed Chemist or Chemical Engineer with a Chemical Technician license.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in QA/QC laboratory work, preferably in the petroleum sector, or a recent graduate with strong academic performance.
• Willingness to be assigned to any Petron installation.
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and ISO 17025 is preferred.

Required skills

• Operation of analytical laboratory equipment such as Gas Chromatography (GC) and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS).
• Knowledge of laboratory best practices and quality standards.
• Ability to develop and validate analytical test methods.
