QA Technician – Operations

About the role

The Quality Assurance Technician will support Asurion's manufacturing operations by driving key quality metrics and ensuring compliance with process standards. You will work closely with assembly and sub‑assembly teams to evaluate line issues, address customer complaints, and maintain product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Handle non‑conforming products using defined control processes.
• Verify and validate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Perform defect verification for internal and external quality issues.
• Conduct inspections such as radiographic, sampling, and QA testing.
• Implement and maintain containment actions for quality problems.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and test‑method enhancements.
• Validate process changes to reduce risk (change management).
• Assist in qualification audits for products and parts.
• Collect samples for failure analysis and statistical reporting.
• Collaborate with QA engineers on specification development and issue resolution.

Required profile

• Graduate or undergraduate degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of experience in mobile device repair or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail, clear written communication, and collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• PDCA, DMAIC, 8D, 7QC tools (Why‑Why, Fishbone, Shainin DOE).
