QA Specialist

About the role

The Quality Assurance Specialist ensures that raw materials, feeds, and finished products meet the company's stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role supports the production of scientifically‑balanced animal feed by performing inspections, sampling, and monitoring processes on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections and physical checks of raw materials, feeds, and packaging to verify compliance with specifications.
• Collect representative samples from deliveries and in‑process streams for laboratory analysis following established protocols.
• Monitor production equipment and processes, flagging any deviations and assisting the QA Supervisor with corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including inspection records, shift reports, and Certificates of Analysis for macro, micro, and packaging materials.
• Perform audits and checks to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards.

Required profile

• Ability to perform detailed visual inspections and verify product attributes such as appearance, texture, color, and size.
• Experience in sampling procedures and handling laboratory test requests.
• Strong attention to detail for documenting deviations, corrective actions, and compliance findings.
• Capability to work closely with production teams and communicate non‑conformities effectively.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Understanding of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles.
