Purchasing / Procurement Officer – Furniture Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Purchasing/Procurement Officer with solid experience in the furniture manufacturing sector. You will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, hardware, and production supplies, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery to keep production lines running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, hardware, fittings, and production supplies for furniture manufacturing.
• Negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery terms with suppliers.
• Issue purchase orders and monitor deliveries to meet production schedules.
• Coordinate with production, warehouse, and suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Evaluate supplier performance and build strong vendor relationships.
• Track purchasing costs and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and documentation standards.
• Resolve supply, delivery, and quality issues promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in furniture manufacturing or modular cabinet production.
• Strong knowledge of furniture materials, boards, laminates, hardware, and accessories.
• Proven experience in supplier sourcing, negotiation, and inventory management.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or dedicated purchasing systems.
