Purchasing Manager (5+ years experience) – Salary 30k-50k

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement activities within a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier management, and ensuring the timely delivery of high‑quality materials.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency.
• Ensure timely delivery, quality, and availability of procured goods and services.
• Maintain supplier databases, purchase records, and procurement documentation.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and evaluate both local and international suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, including delivery reliability and quality compliance.
• Conduct supplier visits, vendor assessments, and fieldwork as required.
• Coach and train new employees on purchasing procedures and ERP systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Purchasing Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in purchasing management, procurement, or supply‑chain operations.
• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, integrity, and accountability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAGE, SAP or other ERP/accounting systems.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Data analysis, reporting and inventory monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations and supply‑chain best practices.
