Purchasing Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Purchasing Assistant to support our garment production line. You will be responsible for sourcing fabrics, trims, accessories and other materials, ensuring that the right items arrive on time and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Source and purchase fabrics, trims, accessories, and other garment materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and material availability.
• Verify that all purchased materials meet required quality specifications.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, inventory levels, and supplier databases.
• Track deliveries and follow up to ensure timely arrival of materials.
• Negotiate cost‑efficient deals while preserving strong supplier relationships.
• Support production by ensuring timely procurement of all needed materials.

Required profile

• 12 years of experience in purchasing or a closely related field.
• Strong negotiation abilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent purchasing and sourcing skills.
• Computer literacy.
• A four‑year college degree preferred, or a two‑year degree with equivalent work experience.
