Technical Expert - Process in Mining and Quarrying

About the role

Join Bureau Veritas as a Technical Expert – Process in Mining and Quarrying, leveraging deep industry expertise to support audit, certification and compliance activities across mining and quarrying operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessments and audits of mining and quarrying operations.
• Evaluate compliance with relevant ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert guidance on process optimization and best practices.
• Support clients in implementing and maintaining management systems.
• Develop technical documentation and audit protocols.
• Mentor junior auditors and technical staff.
• Contribute to Bureau Veritas's technical knowledge base and training materials.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in mining and quarrying operations, including ornamental stone, limestone, gypsum, slate and other stone extraction processes.
• Hands‑on knowledge of core processes across these sectors and ability to identify operational and compliance gaps.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems).
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems).
• Working knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems).
• Familiarity with mining and quarrying regulatory frameworks.

Required skills

• Audit or certification experience (internal or third‑party).
• Knowledge of additional relevant standards (e.g., ISO 19001, sector‑specific standards).
• Experience with mining safety protocols and risk management.
• Technical writing or documentation skills.
• Training or mentoring experience.
