Project Officer – Community Development

About the role

The Project Officer will lead community development initiatives for acciona.org, supporting the delivery of clean energy, water and sanitation services to vulnerable communities in the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct community engagement activities such as consultations, trainings, workshops and supervision of installations.
• Coordinate logistics for transport, distribution and installation of Solar Home Systems and related infrastructure.
• Support selection and onboarding of local entrepreneurs for the Users Assistance Center and provide ongoing technical support.
• Build partnerships with local government units, NGOs, electric cooperatives and other stakeholders.
• Prepare project proposals, reports, case studies and communication materials.
• Perform finance and administrative tasks, including purchase requests and cash‑advance processing.

Required profile

• At least 4.5 years of experience in community development, stakeholder management or sustainable development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Engineering, Project Management, social sciences or related field.
• Ability to work independently in remote, field‑based environments and willingness to travel to remote areas.

Required skills

• Strong project implementation, monitoring and reporting abilities.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
