Project Manager – Solar PV

About the role

Upgrade Energy Philippines (UGEP) is looking for a proactive Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial solar photovoltaic (PV) projects from design through handover. The role combines strategic planning, on‑site execution, and stakeholder coordination to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective solar solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resources, and quality.
• Lead all phases of project execution, ensuring safety, quality, timeline, and budget compliance.
• Conduct regular site visits, resolve construction issues, and verify design specifications.
• Manage EPC contractors and third‑party vendors, reviewing invoices, change orders, and progress payments.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, financial, regulatory, environmental, and social risks.
• Serve as primary contact for internal teams, clients, regulatory bodies (DOE, ERC, BOI, NGCP, LGUs), landowners, and local communities.
• Mentor and motivate a multidisciplinary project team, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and performance verification of solar plants.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing large renewable energy projects in the Philippines.
• Strong knowledge of local regulations, permitting processes, and grid interconnection requirements.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent problem‑solving, risk‑management, and communication skills.
