Project Engineer II – Aerospace

About the role

Join RTX's Collins Aerospace division as a Project Engineer II, driving aerospace and defense projects from concept through delivery. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and implementation.
• Coordinate with program management, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and design engineering to meet project objectives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery.
• Monitor progress, track cost and technical deliverables, and report status to senior management.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
• Maintain project documentation, proposals, and work statements.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 4–5+ years of experience in project engineering or project management within aerospace or related industries.
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office (including MS Project).
• Understanding of compliance and quality‑assurance guidelines.
• PMP or ACP certification is a plus.
