Program Officer

About the role

The Program Officer will serve as the primary representative of World Vision Development Foundation (WVDF) in the Bukidnon area, overseeing the implementation of the Country Strategy and ensuring that interventions are adapted to local needs. This open‑ended position works closely with community‑based organizations, local government units, faith‑based groups, schools, and private sector partners to improve child wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate primary implementing partners for various thematic programs (TPs) and secure signed Community Shared Plans or Partnership Agreements.
• Prepare and submit a contextualized annual implementation plan aligned with the Area Program, and track weekly/monthly progress against targets and budget utilization.
• Collaborate with government partners and Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children (BCPC) to ensure active participation and timely address child wellbeing concerns.
• Produce monthly, semi‑annual, and annual reports for all TPs using standard tools and templates.
• Coordinate training for local agencies, institutions, or companies on project models and interventions.
• Work with Technical Program Specialists to build capacities of local partners where expertise is lacking.
• Partner with churches and faith‑based organizations to integrate spiritual nurture activities and values formation.
• Facilitate community planning, implementation, and reporting processes.
• Participate in emergency response teams as needed, with appropriate training and contingency planning.
