Professional Mechanical Engineer (Licensed)

About the role

The Professional Mechanical Engineer will act as the company’s resident licensed professional, ensuring full compliance with the Philippine Mechanical Engineering Act (RA 8495) and the Professional Regulatory Board of Mechanical Engineering. This role safeguards the safe, reliable and efficient operation of all mechanical equipment, plants and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, equipment verification and coordinate activities within mechanical equipment areas.
• Review pre‑design requirements, provide comments on terms of reference, design and feasibility studies.
• Identify and resolve design issues uncovered during quality assurance processes.
• Provide professional supervision, technical accountability and validation of mechanical works, projects, plants, machinery and processes.
• Prepare, review, certify, sign and seal all required mechanical engineering documents, designs, plans, specifications and reports.
• Assist in the preparation of the notarized list of installed equipment and total kilowatt capacity for Certificate of Compliance applications or renewals.
• Support filing, processing, renewal and maintenance of the Certificate of Compliance for mechanical engineering works.
• Maintain up‑to‑date professional documentation such as registration, tax receipt and professional ID.

Required profile

• Licensed Mechanical Engineer registered with the Professional Regulatory Board of Mechanical Engineering.
• In‑depth knowledge of RA 8495 and related regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in mechanical equipment inspection, design validation and compliance reporting.
• Ability to prepare and certify technical documents and certificates of compliance.
