Procurement Specialist – Heavy Equipment Parts (Remote)

About the role

You will own the sourcing and material acquisition lifecycle for heavy engine and component rebuilds, ensuring high‑margin procurement for a specialized Australian mechanical services firm. The role is fully remote, supporting the mining and civil earth‑moving sector from the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to achieve target margins of 50% for engine rebuild projects.
• Search for hard‑to‑find parts across local and international supplier networks.
• Act as the primary liaison between the workshop and suppliers, collating pricing and preparing comprehensive quotes.
• Prepare and submit purchase orders, managing the full procurement cycle from quote to order.
• Streamline procurement processes and support project‑based jobs to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or administrative roles, preferably within mechanical, automotive, or heavy‑equipment industries.
• Technical understanding of parts, brands, and industry‑specific requirements.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
• High level of organizational discipline to handle multiple quotes and purchase orders.
• Reliable home‑office setup and willingness to work a 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM schedule.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel).
• Effective use of email for supplier communication.
