Procurement Contract Specialist (Night Shift)

About the role

Manulife's Procurement Contracting team is looking for a Procurement Contract Specialist to support the review, drafting and negotiation of vendor agreements that enable its business operations worldwide. The role works with sourcing, legal, risk and business stakeholders and offers exposure to commercial contracts, procurement activities and regulatory requirements. The position is based in Quezon City and is a hybrid arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review procurement contracts and other legal documents between Manulife and external parties.
• Use and manage the systems and tools used during the procurement process.
• Provide contractual and administrative support during procurement activities.
• Help create and maintain standard procurement templates.
• Coordinate with internal Sourcing partners, SMEs and other business partners to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate contract execution through the appropriate signing tools and ensure signatories follow internal policies.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, business procedures and documentation requirements.
• Perform legal research as needed to support contractual activities.

Required profile

• Graduate of a Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB), or at least third-year status in law school.
• At least two years of experience in contract review, legal assessment and drafting.
• Willingness and ability to work night shifts to support global stakeholders and business partners.

Required skills

• Strong analytical, research and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and negotiate contractual language.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to quickly learn contract management and procurement systems.
• Preferred: knowledge of CLM tools, e-signature platforms and procurement systems, and experience in procurement, sourcing, contract management or legal operations.
