Principal – School of Hospitality

About the role

The Principal will spearhead the creation and operation of the Swiss Care Foundation School of Hospitality, a purpose‑driven institution delivering world‑class hospitality education to underserved individuals. This senior leadership position combines strategic vision, academic excellence, and operational expertise to build a school that meets both global standards and local regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualisation, establishment and operationalisation of the hospitality school, defining its vision, academic framework and long‑term strategy.
• Design and implement industry‑relevant curricula covering culinary, bakery, service, housekeeping, barista and front‑office skills.
• Ensure full compliance with TESDA, DSWD and other Philippine education authorities, managing accreditation and permitting processes.
• Develop a transparent scholar selection process prioritising underserved communities and oversee scholar development.
• Plan, design and supervise the construction of training kitchens, mock hotel rooms, labs and classrooms that meet regulatory standards.
• Forge partnerships with hotels, restaurants, training institutions and international organisations to create internship and employment pathways.
• Recruit, lead and evaluate faculty and administrative staff, establishing performance standards and managing budgets.
• Align all programmes and operations with the Swiss Care Foundation’s social‑impact mission.

Required profile

• Strategic, mission‑driven leader with a proven track record in academic or hospitality management.
• Strong understanding of Philippine education regulations (TESDA, DSWD, DepEd/CHED).
• Experience designing curricula and overseeing facility development for hospitality training.
• Ability to build and nurture industry partnerships and secure accreditation.
• Commitment to social impact and serving underserved communities.
