Plant Finance Controller – Manufacturing Finance Leader

About the role

The Plant Finance Controller (AVP) leads financial operations for a fast‑paced FMCG manufacturing plant. Acting as a strategic finance partner, you will ensure accurate reporting, cost control, and profitability while supporting plant leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for the plant.
• Analyse monthly performance, provide variance analysis and actionable insights.
• Manage manufacturing, labour, overhead and production efficiency costs.
• Monitor standard costing, conduct material, labour and overhead variance analysis.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and support productivity initiatives.
• Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, reconciliations, cycle counts and physical inventory.
• Support working capital management and ensure accurate inventory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with policies, accounting standards and internal controls.
• Assist internal and external audits and implement corrective actions.
• Review capital expenditures and project investments.
• Partner with the Plant Manager and Operations Leadership Team on strategic initiatives.
• Lead and develop the plant finance team, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field (CPA preferred).
• 8–10 years of finance experience, including at least 5 years in FMCG manufacturing finance.
• Proven experience as a Plant Finance Controller, Plant Controller, Manufacturing Controller, or equivalent.
