Packaging & Innovations Associate Manager – Governance & Capabilities

About the role

The Packaging and Innovations Associate Manager – Governance & Capabilities will lead the development and maintenance of the governance framework for packaging and innovation activities. You will ensure processes are consistent, compliant with regulatory and sustainability standards, and that stakeholders have the tools and knowledge to deliver high‑quality results.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update packaging and innovation policies, standards and ways of working in line with corporate, regulatory and sustainability requirements.
• Define and manage approval workflows for packaging changes, artwork and new developments, clarifying roles and responsibilities.
• Maintain a central hub of documentation (SOPs, guidelines, templates, checklists) ensuring it is current and easily accessible.
• Drive compliance through verification activities and coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
• Lead supplier audit programmes, planning and conducting on‑site audits, documenting findings and overseeing remediation.
• Own the material and packaging supplier accreditation process, evaluating new and existing suppliers against quality, safety and compliance criteria.
• Oversee artwork approval to ensure accuracy, consistency and governance compliance before release.
• Prepare and present performance dashboards and reports on governance and capability metrics.

Required profile

• Proven experience in governance, standards management or quality assurance within packaging, consumer goods or related industries.
• Strong understanding of regulatory, sustainability and corporate compliance requirements for packaging.
• Experience leading supplier audits and accreditation processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to develop clear documentation, SOPs and training materials.
