Operator II

About the role

The Operator II joins Microchip’s manufacturing team to run and certify test equipment used for engineering and reliability lots. The role ensures accurate execution of test procedures, proper documentation, and smooth hand‑offs between shifts in a high‑volume production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned machines, maintain certification badges, and certify at least one process or station.
• Execute final test and hand‑test activities for engineering lots, including ATE and manual testing.
• Attend endorsement meetings, set up Flexcell equipment, and support incoming shift operators.
• Count and compare reliability sample quantities against lot travelers and record results.
• Collect, transfer, and store test data logs, summaries, CSV and STDF files in defined folders.
• Assist Flexcell technicians, especially during absences or setup issues.
• Perform first‑level verification (FLV), manufacturing self‑check (MSC), and maintain 5S standards at workstations.
• Escalate any line problems to the shift leader or supervisor and log machine downtime and lot history.

Required profile

• Experience operating manufacturing or test equipment in a production environment.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to work in shift rotations.
• Good communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with technicians.
