Occupational Safety, Health & Environment Engineer

About the role

The Occupational Safety, Health & Environment Engineer (OSHE Engineer) will report to the Plant Manager and lead all plant initiatives related to occupational safety, health and environment. This role ensures compliance with local regulations and company policies while driving continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate, manage and synthesize data on incident rates, lost‑time incidents, water and energy usage, and regulatory compliance (DENR, DOLE, DILG).
• Create and monitor action plans and strategies to improve safety, health and environmental metrics.
• Champion behavioural‑based safety and deliver training programs to raise awareness.
• Investigate safety, health and environmental violations and incidents, preparing timely reports.
• Coordinate policy implementation with department heads and ensure alignment with standards such as Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015, HACCP, HALAL and FSSC.
• Participate in internal audits to verify compliance with established management systems.
• Manage budgeting, purchasing and liquidation for OSHE programs.
• Provide consultation, coaching and mentoring on OSHE matters.
• Represent the plant in cross‑functional meetings and liaise with the Operational Governance and Sustainability Group.

Required profile

• Proven experience in occupational safety, health and environment within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of local regulatory requirements (DENR, DOLE, DILG).
• Ability to develop and implement action plans and monitor key performance indicators.
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
• Effective communication and coordination with multiple department heads.
