About the role
UN Women is seeking a National Consultant to provide coordination and communications support for the Zero Hunger Accelerator joint programme in the Philippines. The consultant will work remotely from Manila, contributing to the design and implementation of climate‑resilient, gender‑responsive food system interventions.
Key responsibilities
- Support coordination of the joint programme between UN Women, WFP and FAO, ensuring alignment with national and local policies.
- Develop and disseminate communication materials that highlight programme achievements and promote gender equality.
- Assist local government units in aligning climate, disaster risk, gender and agricultural budgets with food system investments.
- Help co‑create investable pipelines such as food‑fortification facilities, community kitchens and women‑led agribusinesses.
- Contribute to mobilising at least US$24 million and reaching targeted smallholder households.
Required profile
- Proven experience in coordination and communications for development programmes.
- Strong understanding of gender equality, climate‑resilient agriculture and food security in the Philippines.
- Familiarity with UN processes, joint programming and multi‑stakeholder engagement.
