Mold Equipment Technician

About the role

Texas Instruments is seeking a skilled Mold Equipment Technician to support our fab operations. You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and installations of mold equipment while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, improvements, upgrades, and installations.
• Improve system performance to meet process requirements and eliminate repetitive downtime.
• Monitor and analyze data to maintain tool performance and resolve tool‑related issues.
• Coordinate supplier service and repairs as needed.
• Prepare technical reports, summarize findings, and recommend solutions.
• Interface with engineering and manufacturing groups across the fab to ensure issues are solved efficiently.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience with Asahi or Towa mold machines.
• Advanced setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic machine calibration knowledge and use of handy panels and calibration jigs.
• Understanding of equipment and process parameters, material‑to‑machine integration, and chase tooling, balancing, and setup.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, and relationship‑building skills.
