Mobile Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mobile Software Engineer to join our Research and Development department. The role involves creating high‑quality Android applications, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and supporting deployment to Japan.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full mobile development lifecycle, from planning and analysis to design, coding, testing, and implementation.
• Gather and assess business requirements, translating user needs and product specifications into functional mobile solutions.
• Design and develop Android applications using Java, integrating APIs and external services.
• Conduct unit testing, identify defects, ensure quality, and manage release processes.
• Produce documentation, reports, visualisations, and presentations to communicate results to stakeholders.
• Respond to client requests promptly and contribute to organisational development initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Strong experience developing Java‑based Android applications and working with APIs.
• Proficiency in additional programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, PHP and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures and software engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile and V‑Model development methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese (JLPT N4 or higher) and a passion for innovation.
