Medical Information Specialist – Toxicology (Remote)

About the role

ProPharma is seeking a Medical Information Specialist with a focus on toxicology to join its Health and Safety Call Center. Working remotely on a rotational schedule, you will handle inbound calls from both consumers and health‑care professionals, documenting adverse events and product quality complaints while providing accurate safety information.

Key responsibilities

• Answer calls at the Health and Safety Call Center, obtaining demographic data and documenting adverse events for both animal and human cases.
• Record complete and accurate information in the safety database and follow up with callers to ensure no further health concerns.
• Provide product safety and drug information in accordance with client specifications, without giving diagnostic or treatment advice.
• Assess case severity, prepare adverse event reports (including FDA Animal cases), and write causality assessments as requested.
• Manage and prepare PMRA and NASC reports for selected clients.
• Mentor junior Information Specialists, monitor trends, and contribute to call‑center training programs.
• Stay current with continuing‑education requirements and regulatory guidelines.

Required profile

• Current professional license (RN, RPh, PharmD, DVM or equivalent) appropriate to the degree.
• Experience in medical information, pharmacovigilance, or toxicology reporting.
• Ability to work a night‑shift schedule (10 PM – 8 AM US CST) on a rotating weekday/weekend basis.

Required skills

• Adverse event documentation and reporting.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to assess case severity.
