Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Specialist will lead and train a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the reliable operation of farm systems, process controllers, and related equipment. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance to extend equipment life and support continuous production.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and train technicians in preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions with test equipment (mega‑ohmmeters, voltmeters, clamp meters) and implement corrective actions.
• Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components; install ground leads and power cables.
• Install conduit and pull insulated wires to complete circuits.
• Provide on‑call support during off‑hours and rest days to maintain equipment uptime.
• Process SAP time confirmations, generate work orders for preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with 5S, ISO 9001:200, and safety codes; suggest Kaizen improvements.
• Conduct technical training and perform regular audits of maintenance standards.

Required profile

• Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance of industrial or farm equipment.
• Ability to train and supervise technicians.
• Willingness to be on‑call for emergency support.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, 5S, and Kaizen continuous‑improvement practices.
• Basic knowledge of SAP for maintenance requests and time tracking.
