Mechanical Engineer – Sub‑contractor Management

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will work within the Sub‑contractor Management Department, ensuring that mechanical subcontractors deliver their work in line with project specifications, schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with mechanical subcontractors on project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
• Conduct regular progress meetings, address issues, and plan upcoming activities.
• Review and approve mechanical drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and technical submittals.
• Provide technical clarification and support to subcontractors as needed.
• Inspect mechanical installations to verify compliance with codes, standards, and approved plans.
• Monitor quality assurance processes, testing, commissioning, and corrective actions.
• Track subcontractor progress against the project schedule and develop mitigation plans for delays.
• Prepare progress reports and coordinate work sequences with other disciplines.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating mechanical subcontractors on construction projects.
• Ability to interpret and enforce project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for engineering and construction issues.
• Effective communication for meetings and reporting.
